    Aquiles Espinosa (born December 25, ), better known by his stage name Nawlage (pronounced "knowledge”), is an American recording artist turned producer. Raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he initially gained recognition performing at local events in New England. He is best known for his single "Husband or Wife", which was released in (later remixed and re-released in featuring French Montana).

    Nawlage has cited fellow local rappers, Termanology and Lou Armstrong as artists who had influenced him early on. He has teamed up with ERIKMVSXN to form the production group, ProRefx (formerly known as NdroiDBeats).

    Early life[edit]

    Aki Espi was born on December 25, , in Oceanside, California. His father is a Dominican American former Marine, and his mother is a Dominican American Cosmetologist, who relocated from Brooklyn, New York to Lawrence, Massachusetts[1]; he was taught to embrace the culture of his Dominican ancestors. He learned to speak Spanish allowing him to be a bilingual recording artist.

    As a young teenager, he began recording songs at home using headphones and a cassette player.

    He is related to Dominican musician Chichí Peralta.
