Charles Thomas Pratt
Mr. Charles Thomas "Tom" Pratt II, 82, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at his home following a long illness.
Tom was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly. During his ministry he served as pastor of several churches through out the assembly and also worked in the church office for several years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Stewart Pratt; parents, Lloyd and Kate Mallet Pratt; sisters, Betty Pratt Sowders, Mona Fay May, Juanita Pratt Abrahamson; and grandson, Dalane Pratt.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas and Bonnie Pratt of Dalton, Paul and Sherry Pratt of Attalla, Ala.; daughters, Irena Pratt Branson and Melissa Pratt Hill both of Dalton, and Sandra Pratt Wilson of Chicago; brother, James Pratt of Cedar Bluff, Ala.; and sisters, Lillian Pratt Jenkins and Peggy Pratt Dyer of Dalton. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services are Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God of the Union Assembly with the Rev. Trey Starnes and the Rev. Lonnie Starnes officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery with the grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at Love Funeral Home Monday.
