Exclusive: 'No, Ameesha And I Are Not Dating!' Says Nirvaan Birla

On November 13, Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel had sparked dating rumours with businessman Nirvaan Birla after she had shared a photo with Nirvaan on her official Instagram account and it had gone viral. Both were in Dubai at the time.

The caption of the post had read, “DUBAI —- lovely evening with my darling @nirvaanbirla,” along with several red heart emoticons and the post was also liked by Nirvaan’s father, Yash Birla. Several netizens had started commenting and calling them a ‘couple’ while others went ahead saying that the duo should get married. The photo had been re-shared by Nirvaan on his Instagram story.

However, we can now confirm that these are just baseless rumours, as Nirvaan just informed us in an upcoming podcast of ours. “Ameesha and I are not dating. She is a family friend and known to my father since their school days. We were both in Dubai as I was shooting for my music album which she features in,” Nirvaan told us. While the album releases in February, Nirvaan is an entrepreneur who is the founder and MD of Birla Brainiacs and Birla Open Minds and has his own music band.

Former Mr India accused of domestic violence: ‘He splurges on steroids, gets violent if I object’

Jivesh Shetty denied the charges; lawyer says wife filed a case as she did not get along with Shetty’s mother.

Popular fitness trainer and former Mr India, Jivesh Shetty has been accused of by his wife Avanti, who claims that he tried to assault her when she objected to his spending huge sums of money on ‘banned and body supplements’. Avanti, 30, has also accused him of shirking his responsibilities as a father by not paying their 5-year-old daughter’s school fees.

In a case filed before a metropolitan magistrate in Girgaum, Avanti has further accused her 37-year-old husband of using his build to intimidate her. Saying that their daughter stands to lose a year as Shetty has ‘refused’ to pay her school fee, she has sought Rs 1 crore in damages and Rs 45,000 and Rs 40,000 as maintenance for her daughter and herself. She has also named his mother in the case filed under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act of 2005, claiming that she would verbally abuse and taunt her.
